History of the United Way of South Central Massachusetts

On April 16, 2020 the new charter was signed, officially beginning the United Way of South Central Massachusetts, serving the communities of Charlton, Dudley, Southbridge, Sturbridge, and Webster. The merger of these two entities will help grow our reach and serve our communities even better. Read the press release here.

United Way of Webster and Dudley made a difference in their community for the past 52 years donating more than $6,900,000 to community programs and associations.

United Way of Southbridge, Sturbridge, and Charlton has been in operation since 1937. Our dedicated efforts have been integral for 85 years. Over that time, we have donated more than $17,200,000 to community programs and organizations, and are proud to do so in a joint effort moving forward.
